Get to know us here! Concert Band One of the school's three performing arts CCA, the concert band is known to be a music-making group that is always eager to explore new or creative ways of music-making. Besides working hard for the bi-annual Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Concert Bands and school functions like the Annual Speech and Prize Presentation Day, the band also diversifies its music-making efforts to include STOMP and samba percussion routine in its repertoire. (: now i guess there's some sorta band "bond" being formed.. yay! and well.. the STOMP trOopers are really awesome! gosh. whoa. you guys are SERIOUSLY good!! haha.. anyways,,today was absolutely cool. haha. literally.rained like crazy!! that was actually the BEST PART! hahaa. on the bus ride to sentOsa.. bowen was telling us that it was RAINING at siloso beach. usually you would expect ppl to be like.. "huh?? raining? then how?" but our band was suuper positive. who doesnt like to play in the rain?? haha. when we got to siloso beach,,we were stuck at the tram station for soo long. all wet. when everyone else was stuck in wet trams.. the few of us got into a bus(: haha. sorry to those of you who got wet. lol. it took quite long for us to finally reach the sapphire pavillion. when we eventually got there,, everyone arnd us was dressed up like PIRATES! haha. and i got a ORANGE balloon. haha. thankyou wei siong for bursting it (: haha. ms soh was probably plotting to do so too. we had "hospital food"-like lunch.and a not-so-bad snack. and guess what? we met patricia mok there.. haha. we got her autograph and photo taken with her. better than nothing right?? so,,as obvious as it already is..the band outing today was GREAT!! thanks to all the band members who did turn up. even though there were only 32 of us there,, the spirit was really high!now we juz gotta work together for SYF 2007* good luck!! cyaa on tuesday. sammie what about band spirit?? posted on heyy.** everyone in the band seems distracted. whether its coz they're parents want them to quit,, or maybe juz feel left out. with all the little cliques in the band..the band isnt really like a band. it feels more like another classroom with all the chatting and stuff. there's no spirit.. whether we're a gold medal band or not..we still gotta have at least some form of comraderie..so hopefully tml's outing to sentosa helps.. so i guess we juz gotta mingle more.. especially with those who aren't getting the attention they deserve in the band.. we gotta treat everyone as our equal,, but of course give respect to those of higher authority,,but still,, not always make a mockery of those who you may not be... part of your clique. one band,, one sound right now its juz "a group of ppl" coming together and playing music... where's the band spirit..?? we dont have to go around cheering like mad.. maybe juz make everyone else feel cared about. cyaa. sammie posted on Friday, November 10, 2006 muhahahas~ juz came back from CCA branch. mas and phoebe POP !! hahas.. ~~photo is wif nabil they all..~~ tOday band end early, shLd jOin us! anw, yupyup.. for some ppl is last min den nod.. but i'm gLad tat some ppl at least jOin us to support x) althought last min know abt it..
